We are delighted to announce that Lu-ana Ngatai has been appointed to the Braemar Charitable Trust and joined us on 1 October 2022. Born in Dunedin and raised in Riverton Southland, Lu-ana moved to Hamilton in 1994 to be closer to her family in Whaingaroa. Educated at Waikato University Lu-ana has a double degree in Public Administration and Policy and Maori Development; a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and a Diploma in Law. Lu-ana has spent the past 23 years working in health all of this being in the public health sector. Her background is in Project Management, Change Management, Strategic Management, Relationship Management and Strategy and Funding. She has held roles at Local, Regional and National levels and is currently on the National Advisory Groups for Bowel Screening and Critical Care. Lu-ana is currently the Operations Manager for Screening and Sexual Health Services for Te Whatu Ora Waikato and has developed extensive relationships with Community and Iwi providers in the Waikato region. Lua-ana said "she is excited to be given the opportunity to serve on the Board and is keen to explore opportunities for growing and extending the relationships between the Braemar Charitable Trust and Community and Iwi Providers". We are excited to have Lu-ana as part of the Braemar Family and know she will contribute significantly to improving health outcomes in our community.
