The Kudos Science Trust is another example of a community organization that the Braemar Charitable Trust is proud to partner with and support.
Established in 2007, Kudos aims to recognize top scientists in the Waikato; excite young people about science-based careers, and raise the profile of science in the community.
In 2021, the Braemar Charitable Trust signed up to be a Science Spinners supporter, sponsoring a workshop being run by Kudos that gave high school students a chance to experience hands on some science-based experiments. The students were taught by some of the Waikato’s world-class scientists and experts in the Medical, Environmental, Food Tech and Sport Science fields over a period of 4 days, giving students a taste of what science in a practical setting could lead to career-wise.
We have also created a “Braemar Charitable Trust Science Spinners Scholarship Award” to the value of $1000 to a past or present Spinners student who is pursuing a Medical pathway.
The Braemar Charitable Trust is excited for future opportunities to support Kudos, as partnering with like-minded organizations is a key pillar of our work and contributes to our vision of improving health outcomes in the Waikato through education.
