The Braemar Charitable Trust sole shareholder of Braemar Hospital Limited, is delighted to announce the appointment of Katie Ayers as a Director on the Braemar Hospital Board. Katie took up this new appointment on 1 October and now sits on both the Braemar Hospital and Braemar Trust Boards.
Katie joined the Braemar Charitable Trust Board in 2020 (after serving one 3-year term on the Trust in 2014), has been a a Medical Associate at Braemar Hospital since 2004 and is Specialist Paediatric Dentist working in private practice at Anglesea OMS. Katie is also the Approving Dental Officer and Oral Health Advisor to the five Midland District Health Boards. In 2014 Katie completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Business (Governance) at the University of Waikato and became a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors. She has served on the NZ Dental Association Board and Executive for several years and has just completed her two-year term as President. Katie was a Director and Trustee of Medical Assurance Society for 8 years.

Katie replaces retiring Braemar Board Director Greg Spark who completed his term as Director on 30 September.
