We are delighted to continue our ongoing partnership with the Arts for Health Community Trust, by funding two new weekly art workshops. One workshop will be provided at the Cancer Lodge in Hamilton, a place of significance for us given it was the former Braemar Hospital site. The second, will be run at Te Whakaruruhau-Women's Refuge. These workshops provide an opportunity for people to participate in the creative arts with a wide range of mediums. Cass Hendry, Manager of Arts for Health Community Trust said " we hope that providing a welcoming worry free environment for a few hours will help participants to relax and have a few hours of care free joy". These workshops follow on from the successful workshops we previously funded at Waikato Hospital for patients in the Older Persons and Stroke Rehabilitation wards.
