The Braemar Charitable Trust is proud to be supporting the work of the Waikato Medical Research Foundation (WMRF) and "Growing medical research in the Waikato". We have historically funded WMRF and have formalised our relationship through signing a MOU committing to fund up to $30,000 each year for medical research that is aligned with our vision of improving health outcomes in the Waikato.
Trust Manager Paula Baker said, "WMRF plays an integral role in the future of health and medicine by granting funds to high-quality applicants which aligns well with our focus of investing in medical research". This year we have funded a research proposal currently being undertaken by the Department of Women's Health at the Waikato Hospital that seeks to enhance positive outcomes for newborns.
