Trust Manager Paula Baker and Trustee and Braemar Hospital Board Director Renee Smart, were honored to be invited to the gala dinner and 2020 Kudos Awards ceremony last Thursday night at Claudelands Event Centre. The Kudos Awards celebrate scientists from a range of sectors and across the Waikato & Bay of Plenty regions. The evening showcased the work of the regions top scientists and educators, many of whom are making major contributions to science both regionally and nationally and raising the international profile of New Zealand science. Huge recognition for outstanding careers in science were applauded by their peers and the region's science research & innovation sector, recognising excellence in 8 categories including Health, Education, Primary Industries, Environmental, Engineering and the inaugural Vision MÄtauranga science award.
Paula Baker said "it was inspiring to get a taste of the work of our regions scientists and the impact they are having in our region and beyond".
