The Braemar Charitable Trust who is owner and sole shareholder of Braemar Hospital Limited, is delighted to announce the appointment of Bella Takiari-Brame as a Director on the Braemar Hospital Board. Bella is a professional director and finance professional with global experience. Bella has in depth experience globally in debt, treasury, infrastructure and energy. Locally as the former CFO of WEL Networks, Maangai Maori on the Finance Committee and Audit And Risk of Hamilton City Council, and now interim CE of Maniapoto Māori Trust Board, Bella is well connected and networked in our region and brings strong lateral strategic thinking as well as experience in diverse and complex stakeholder relationships.
Currently Bella's Directorships include the Maniapoto Māori Trust Board, Crown Infrastructure Partners, The Lines Company, an Independent member Group Audit and Risk Waikato Tainui, Council member of Te Wānanga o Aotearoa and Trustee Hamilton Christian Homeless Shelter.

Bella will assume her role on the Braemar Hospital Board on 22 April and joins Braemar Charitable Lay Trustee and Civtec CEO Renae Smart, who joined the Board on 1 April 2020.
Renae and Bella replace Directors Pat Bary (appointed 2003) and Ian Jennings (appointed 2012) whose current terms had ended.
