20th March is World Oral Health Day, a day to "empower people with knowledge, tools and confidence to secure good oral health". Through our Charitable Surgery Programme and our collaboration with Trinity Koha Health, YWAM Ships and Raukura Hauora o Tainui, we have been able to provide much needed dental treatment and oral health education to nearly 150 people in our region over the last year. The Braemar Charitable Trust would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Karen Turanga who has done some amazing work getting the oral health message out to our community, and to Paedeatric Dentist Katie Ayers, Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dr Angus Colquhoun, Dr Brian Whitley and Dr Simon Lou, all of whom are significant contributors and supporters of our Charitable Surgery Programme. These very generous clinicians, along with the wonderful behind the scenes team at Anglesea OMS and Braemar Hospital, have made a significant impact on improving health outcomes in our region. On behalf of the Braemar Charitable Trust thank you and Happy World Oral Health Day!
